Discount Business Christmas Cards

The custom of sending discount business Christmas cards can be traced back to the Chinese of ancient times. During these ancient times, the Chinese exchanged discount business Christmas cards and messages of good will with one another to celebrate the coming and arrival of the New Year. Also around this time, early Egyptians used papyrus scrolls and discount business Christmas cards to convey greetings to one another.

In the 1400s, handmade paper greeting cards and discount business Christmas cards were being exchanged in Europe. Credit for the introduction of discount business Christmas cards can go to an artist by the name of John Horsley, who was commissioned to create the discount business Christmas cards.

The Germans also printed New Year's greetings and discount business Christmas cards from woodcuts as early as the year 1400, and handmade paper Valentines were being exchanged in different parts of Europe during this time, and up into the mid 1400's.

It was in the 1870s that discount business Christmas cards and other greeting cards were introduced into the United States. This was done by a German immigrant by the name of Louis Prang. Louis Prang started a lithographic business near Boston in 1856, and not long after began the production of discount business Christmas cards.

In the 1890s, Louis Prang's discount business Christmas cards and other greeting cards reached their height of popularity. It was at this point that cheap imitations began flooding the market, which unfortunately forced Prang to abandon his discount business Christmas cards and the publishing business. Around this time and up until 1906 there was a general marked decline in the production of discount business Christmas cards.

Immediately after 1906, the domestic production of discount business Christmas cards drastically improved, a number of today's leading publishers, including Hallmark, were founded. Most of these beginning publishers of discount business Christmas cards had little to show in comparison to Louis Prang's elaborate creations, but their discount business Christmas cards were good enough to get back into the market.

After World War I, new publishers of discount business Christmas cards continued to saturate the market with their discount business Christmas cards, which increased competition, which ultimately lowered prices of all discount business Christmas cards.

In the 1930s, publishers of discount business Christmas cards began to use color lithography, which only increased the popularity and frequent usage of discount business Christmas cards. By World War II the industry helped the war effort and increased the production of discount business Christmas cards even more.
